Summary:

The Receiving Supervisor will manage daily activities in the Receiving Department. This position will provide leadership, direction and motivation to the team to successfully and effectively work to accomplish operational goals and ensure optimum performance.

Primary Job Functions:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, training, etc.
  • Ensure that goods are accurately and efficiently received, verified, processed, stored, and put away, without damage, according to our processes and procedures, and ensure quality, and on-time delivery to customers.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications.
  • Identify and resolve receiving, unloading, and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, warehouse employees, vendors and other Fiskars Group locations.
  • Hold regularly scheduled team meetings and assist with timely performance reviews to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the team.
  • Assist Manager in controlling labor costs through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training.
  • Monitor productivity standards by analyzing metrics surrounding key performance indicators.
  • Recommend/implement ways to improve performance.
  • Supervise and train personnel to receive and put away all products per documented procedures
  • Supervise the inventory reporting, cycle counting, and reconciliation process.
  • Maintain quality of receipt and put away transactions
  • Maintain records for all inbound receipts per documented processes as well as non-conforming products, purchase orders, or damaged shipments.
  • Investigate shipments, receiving errors, and adjustments to inventory to determine the root cause.
  • Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
  • Demonstrate the Company's Code of Conduct in the performance of all job functions.
  • Perform other job related duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent, required. 2 years of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center or manufacturing environment, desired. Experience with operating an industrial forklift and or electric pallet jack, desired. Previous experience in supervision, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • The performance of this position requires exposure to warehouse areas where, at certain times, temperatures fluctuate based on external weather conditions.

License or Certifications:

  • Must obtain a Powered Industrial Vehicle license.
