As a messaging engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape enterprise-wide information technology programs designed to enable common business processes and provide EventStreaming and messaging capabilities to applications teams, and their support systems. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. Grow your skills by merging virtualization and cloud computing to create secure and optimized hybrid solution to support mission critical systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping us design, develop, extend CG's EventStreaming/messaging product to improve developer experience for both AppDev Teams as well as Platform SREs by enabling day to day operations.

  • Work with engineering team to peer review and propose process, standards, and guidelines and drive operational maturity of the big data integration platform
  • Evangelize best practice use cases and provide knowledge transfer and training across teams and to other data movement delivery team members
  • Analyze service performance to ensure solutions do not impact production systems
  • Be self-driven and work effectively in a high demand team & project, and highlight any potential risks and issues
  • Relentlessly pursue self-service, automation capabilities and solutions to reduce development cycle-time
  • Collaborates with application teams to have a "boots on the ground" understanding of challenges and success
  • Partners alongside risk and compliance teams to understand and ensure systems and solutions protect the Enterprise
  • Perform root cause analysis on incident and problem tickets (4th level)
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to drive the team to results.

  • Required Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10 years' experience building large scale, real-time distributed systems with solid coding, problem-solving, and design skills. Experience designing/building API's and microservices.
  • Full Stack Development (React, angular, Springboot, backend store) for developing Platform Tools.
  • Experience with Event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks (Pub/Sub, Kafka, and/or RabbitMQ)
  • Ability to demonstrate agile team-first attitude towards software development.
  • Mature engineering practices (GitOps, CI/CD, testing, secure coding, Git, tracing, alerting, etc)
  • Experience with container applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Service cloud service platforms and web services (Lambda, EKS, EC2, S3)
  • Familiar with automation software provisioning and configuration management tools (Terraform)
  • Expert Python scripting knowledge and experience


Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
