We are currently looking for a Billing Specialist in Houston, TX who craves a role encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities that will support their ongoing growth and development, spanning from day-to-day operations to exciting projects and initiatives.


The Billing Specialist is responsible for the final steps of the invoice process, managing holds, and processing credit and rebills for our Lubricants and Select Environmental department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Billing

  • Interpret billing notes from Dedicated Billing team and make appropriate changes
  • Process invoices daily to keep turnaround goals
  • Create and distribute custom invoice reports
  • Maintain full documentation of processes and procedures
  • Coach/train/advise other departments to improve billing workflow
  • Process invoicing in customer portals for payment
  • Provide requested documentation for internal and external customers
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness

Credit and Rebills

  • Evaluate and audit invoice correction requests
  • Execute requested changes and process credit and rebill invoices
  • Track and report on monthly corrections

Other Duties as Assigned


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education & Certification

  • High School Diploma

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience serving both internal and external customers a plus

Qualifications & Characteristics

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment

Work Environment

  • 40-hour on-site work week
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
