Program Location for 2024:Cincinnati, OH; Plainfield, IN

Real Projects, Real Impact: Work on live projects that are critical to the success of our organization, giving you concrete experience and outcomes to be proud of.

At Duke Energy, our Transmission Project Controls interns assist with managing a portfolio of real capital projects and will be assigned responsibility for specific tasks within the project management process as experience and skills are developed. This can include cost, schedule, communications, risk management, quality assurance of scheduling and cost management data, and metric reporting.

Project Controlsfocuses oncost and schedule to ensure the project stayson schedule and within budget.Project Controlsalsogenerates reporting toeffectively monitor and manage project performance to help the project be successful.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled and pursuing associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Construction Management, Project Management or other closely related degree

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

  • Must not graduate before August 2024

Desire Qualifications

  • Microsoft Excel experience, including pivot tables, vlookup etc.

  • Financial experience

  • Data analytics experience

  • Prior project management controls experience

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the duration of thesummer.

  • Potential for travel to project locations

  • Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations. In office 2-3 days per week.

    • Candidates who are hired for a hybrid role and reside outside of 50 miles from their assigned work location may be eligible for a housing stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses and will be determined at time of offer.
