Perimeter College is a seeking (1) a dedicated and experienced Sponsor Funded Executive - Project Director.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic team member who will work with the PBI Center for Outreach, Research, and Engagement (C.O.R. E.) on our Clarkston campus, to support the increase of enrollment of underrepresented students, improve the success of underrepresented students and impact the number of underrepresented students engaged in undergraduate research experiences which includes creative and scholarly activities.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Research are the following:

  • Assist in the training and development of all research coordinators.
  • Serve as a field expert and equip identified students with knowledge regarding undergraduate research.
  • Collaborate with research coordinators, faculty leaders, and senior administrators to direct, develop, and implement programming related to undergraduate research.
  • Coordinate the training and establish professional learning communities for research faculty coordinators.
  • Develop and schedule programming for the academic year, 3-week bridge, and 8-week summer opportunities.
  • Coordinate events and symposiums related to undergraduate research.
  • Collect and analyze data related to undergraduate research programming.
  • Investigate and report on national trends related to undergraduate research.
  • Oversee the application process for student participants and stipend distributions.
  • Participate in local and national conferences and workshops related to undergraduate research.
  • Collect and analyze assessment data to determine program effectiveness and quality
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will have experience within a university setting.
