Job Description
Program Coordinators are the primary liaison between Manufacturing, Program Managers, and Customers. Coordinators manage exceptions and WIP inventory management, and provide prompt and accurate information regarding customer accounts, order status, manufacturing delays or changes, and order status. Program Coordinators promote customer satisfaction and the on-time delivery of quality products.

  • Communicates professionally and courteously to convey clear and concise information to customers and coworkers via telephone, email, and in-person
  • Manages inventory via WIP process and shop order; promptly addresses inconsistencies within the system and collaborates with stakeholders to accurately update ERP system
  • Ensures production schedules are followed and shipments are on time; communicates delays and updates ERP as appropriate
  • Works with Engineering and Quality to identify next steps regarding MRB assigned parts and manages the flow of MRB parts to support lead times
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with customers via regular meetings, status updates, and by identifying problems and proposing/implementing solutions
  • May manage daily/weekly updates to customer communication tools and status reports; may create and update spreadsheets and/or ERP to reflect accurate part status, sales order, change orders, and other customer and order information
  • Collaborates with Program Managers or other leaders to review and approve purchase order changes affecting contractual schedules; manages POs with respect to order entry, lead time requirements, and schedule compliance
  • Engages appropriate manufacturing personnel to ensure parts move efficiently through manufacturing operations
  • Performs incidental duties as required
  • Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
Required Education and Work Experience
  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Post-secondary education culminating in an Associate's degree or similar in a Business, Engineering or other technical field is preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing support such as planning, procurement, customer/technical service, production control, or similar is required
  • Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry is preferred
Other Required Skills & Abilities
  • Experience reading & accurately interpreting shop blueprints, sketches, and other technical information/specifications is required
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to handle unexpected challenges and make decisions appropriately
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing customer documents and company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
  • Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills (English) are essential; cooperation, teamwork, and collaboration are critical to effectiveness in the role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • ERP experience is preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:
  • Regularly stand and walk throughout the facility, sit and stand for long periods to perform job duties
  • Occasionally lift, carry (short distances), and push/pull up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally climb steps, stairs, or ladders
  • Occasionally bend, crawl, stoop, squat, or kneel
  • Frequently uses hand or fingers to manually inspect parts and operate computer and peripheral equipment
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a combination of office setting and manufacturing shop environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:
  • Excessive noise (hearing protection required)
  • Dust, smoke, mist, fumes/vapors (occasionally)
  • Extreme temperatures (occasionally)
  • Hazardous equipment including forklifts, hand tools, cranes or other lifting devices, and other equipment used in a machine shop environment (regularly)
The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye and hand protection, and use of safety footwear is required
