Senior IS Functional Lead in OTC under Sales and Marketing, you will represent the SAP and connected solutions and their implementation/delivery. This role is responsible for contributing technical and business process/data expertise to support ongoing operations and/or develop new software. The Senior IS Functional Lead has a deep understanding of the current procedures and systems currently in place researches emerging technologies for new solutions to meet business need and understand the cost and benefits justification to present to managers. You will be responsible for scoping, designing, configuring and delivering SAP OTC solutions to support business processes. This is a hybrid role that can be based in Cary, NC or Atlanta, GA

Your responsibilities

  • Lead in IT (Information Technology), Service Delivery, Strategy alignment to drive tactical solutions and stakeholder management
  • Act as hands on lead in relevant area of responsibility of OTC, contributing technical and business process/data expertise to either support ongoing operations or project new software development
  • Analyze the existing systems and highlight areas of improvement
  • Strong experience in translating business requirements into technical IS capabilities and solutions
  • Provide enhancements to all applications, and providing support to all third-party software tools
  • Guide development and analyzes of functional specifications
  • Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams
  • Build, design, examine, and implement well organized and structured IT applications to meet business needs
  • Direct and coordinate activities of domains in the areas of product quality, OTC Sales and Distribution
  • Collaborate with IS Service Managers and Business Process
  • Understand the related business processes in detail and apply this knowledge to shape and align IS solution/services building and delivery activities
  • Plan, monitor, organize, and oversee projects (example: upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and changes in business processes
  • Report progress to IS Service Owner and manage Business expectation
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and turn the business requirement more towards effective solution architecture
  • Continuously balance between taking a holistic view (by carefully considering business priorities as well as impacts, integration and pre requisites of other domains) and a domain specific view (meeting the domain specific business needs)

Your background

  • Master's Degree/Certification in information management, computer systems, business engineering and/or relevant work experience and/or
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 plus years of working experience including multiple (at least 3) SAP life cycle implementations in the areas of OTC including but not limited to SD/LE/MM/CS/PS-FICO/EDI/Internet Applications and Analytics for OM
  • Strong architectural experience with Functional leadership experience in ITO/OTC, able to influence, to guide, to coach and to train
  • Proven demonstrated experience in coordinating offshore teams
  • Experience with Fiori UI, S/4 HANA or cloud solutions desired
  • Good team spirit, able to collaborate within a multicultural team and be able to serve different stakeholders
  • Experience with working and providing leadership in a highly diversified team setting with multinational company
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
