DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly and operating industrial maintenance equipment within a shop environment. Additional responsibilities include the following:

EQUIPMENT OPERATION

• Operate forklift, mobile crane, track mobile, shop tractor, and power hand tools

EQUIPMENT AND SHOP MAINTENANCE

• Sand, fuel,and clean locomotives

• Clean and organize shop work areas (sweep and clean work surfaces, store parts, empty and discard garbage)

• Operate power-driven equipment such as a vacuum cleaner, electric broom or steam cleaning gun.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 18 years of age, or will be by the anticipated start date listed above

• Possess valid state-issued driver's license

• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location

• Able to work safely in the above working conditions

• Able toworkthe above shift/hours

• Abilityto read, write and communicate (speak, hear and communicate) English

• Abilityto lift and carry up to60lbswithout assistance

• Abilityto visually distinguish colors - red, blue, green, yellow

• Ability to discriminate and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds (signals, alarms, etc.) in the work environment

PROBATIONARY PERIOD

New Hires Vancouver, WA are eligible for a $17,500 hiring incentive - payable over ten (10) months in two equal installments of $8750 available for candidates. Available for candidates who meet all qualifications below:

• Offered a position and successfully complete the pre-employment process
• Successful completion of the first four months of new-hire training and service to be eligible for the first$8750
• Complete 6 additional months of active service at the hired location to be eligible for the second$8750installment.
• This incentive will include a 3-year hold-down. Leaving the location or job for any reason (including relocation of more than 50 miles from the headquartered location) will result in 100% repayment and forfeiture of future payments.

Relocation incentives are also available for these locations in the amount up to $2,500 w/ proof of bona fide move to a Mechanical hiring location and signed Repayment Agreement.
