Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of building and maintaining restaurant group bookings as well as promoting restaurant services to resort guests and local guests. Assists in creating and implementing food & beverage marketing plan. Will work closely with Sales Team and CS Team. Schedules reservations for guests and represents the restaurants at various functions. Assist culinary with day to day administrative needs.

Responsibilities
    Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Ensure nametag is worn and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
  • Responsible for all aspects of building and maintaining group, transient and local guest business.
  • Conducting site visits with meeting planners and attending pre-cons.
  • Establish excellent relationship with meeting planner and try to up sell dining.
  • Function as Liaison between Group, Restaurant and Hotel.
  • Schedule reservations in OpenTable, update and maintain large party tracker.
  • Update Restaurant Managers and Restaurant Chefs with detailed information of upcoming groups.
  • Coordinate with Restaurant Managers and Restaurant Chefs for any special/dietary needs.
  • Addresses any challenges with meeting planners or attendees with appropriate managers.
  • Assists in creating and implementing food and beverage marketing plan.
  • Develops and implements creative ideas to increase transient and local guest business.
  • Plans and oversees restaurant parties and events.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, transferring calls to appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.
  • Produce PO's as needed for the division and culinary department
  • Payroll, daily edits, time sheets as needed per division and culinary department
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Food & Beverage Director and / or Executive Chef.
Qualifications
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Good computer experience (word processing, Microsoft Access and Excel important).
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Very strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Must be able to work cohesively as a team and understand guests expectations.
  • Highly visible, approachable and professional presence.
  • High school graduate, some college
  • Previous Restaurant experience in a similar environment preferred
  • Public speaking experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated, driven and creative.
  • Ability to suggestively sell restaurant services and enhancements.
  • Ability to multi-task while staying organized and focus attention on details
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision, complete tasks quickly and maintain an overall sense of urgency.
