The successful candidate:

We are seeking a registered professional Speech and Language Pathologist dedicated to delivering individualized and comprehensive care to patients within our Acute Care and Outpatient rehabilitation departments. Utilizing a combination of therapeutic techniques, technological innovation, and patient collaboration, you will play a key role in facilitating the development and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Dysphagia rehabilitation and speech therapy in both hospital and clinical settings, tailoring interventions based on thorough assessments and written evaluations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design treatment plans appropriate to each patient's medical condition, with the goal of achieving optimal functional outcomes.

  • Utilize innovative technology and evidence-based practices to enhance patient rehabilitation and communication abilities.

  • Take responsibility for the administration and interpretation of Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), leveraging your expertise in dysphagia management.

  • Work flexibly as required, maintaining availability for Monday to Friday shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Possession of a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology or a related field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical setting, demonstrating proficiency in speech therapy and dysphagia rehabilitation.

  • Prior experience conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) is essential.

Certifications/Licensure:

  • Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

  • Current licensure from the State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in Georgia.
