Who you are:

As a Commercial Real Estate Sales team summer intern, you will collaborate on the daily operation of the team's business, expanding your knowledge in all aspects of commercial leasing, marketing, and sales - not to mention a unique combination of financial and research skills.

What you will bring:

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business and or Commercial Real Estate or pursuing an advanced degree.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and strong process orientation.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to plan, organize and work multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ultimately, you bring a passion for real estate, strong intellectual capabilities, and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Bonus skills and experience

  • Previous experience working within a real estate environment.
  • Experience working within a professional services environment.

What success looks like:

  • You will be heavily involved in research and pulling contact information for land, sites and building for broker cold calls to prospect for new business and leads.
  • You will research data for an offering memorandum (OM) from various sources and pull the data to put in the OM.
  • You will write ad-hoc summaries and reports (investment rationale, highlights, market summaries).
  • You will pull rent and sale comparable and provide market analysis for business development.
  • You will maintain company databases to track prospects and business opportunities.
  • You will walk buildings and update competitive stacks.
  • You will scrub lease comp lists for duplicates.
  • You will coordinate supporting materials for offer packages and review proposals, leases, and related documents.
  • You will analyze and underwrite financials to provide reports on a timely basis.
  • You will bring a great attitude in learning the business and local marketplace by attending local business and industry events, networking, and participating in client meetings.
