National Church Residencesis the nation's largest provider of affordable senior housing and health care services. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager in overseeing all aspects of property management, including leasing, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and financial management. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Qualified candidates for this position offer:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in property management or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of property management principles, leasing laws, and regulations.

  • Ensures that the property operates within HUD and LIHTC rules.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

Leasing and Tenant Relations:

  • Assist with leasing activities, including showing vacant units to prospective tenants, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.

  • Maintain positive relationships with current tenants, address any concerns or issues promptly, and ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction.

  • Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to ensure compliance with lease agreements and property standards.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair requests from tenants and ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance tasks and property inspections.

  • Obtain quotes and negotiate contracts with vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair services.

Financial Management:

  • Assist with rent collection and ensure accuracy of rent payments and financial records.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.

  • Assist with budget preparation and monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leasing activities, maintenance requests, and tenant communications.

  • Prepare and distribute notices to tenants as needed, such as lease renewals, rent increases, or lease violations.

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence with property owners and regulatory agencies.
