Summary:

Nisga'a TEK, LLC is looking for a Systems Engineer. This person will provide engineering expertise in developing diagrams and configuration documentation as required and assist in technical evaluation of compatibility of hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Provide troubleshooting for field issues as requested.
  • Work with team members on new network integration efforts, including engineering solutions, drafting proposals, determining equipment lists and creating drawings.
  • Leading technical teams to successfully complete aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
  • Performing and leading complex analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex missile defense problems.
  • Applying and leading interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex system solutions.
  • Defining and coordinating system performance requirements and technical parameters for complex systems.
  • Troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems that the program may encounter.
  • Develop, author and/or provide input to major program data products and other deliverables.
  • Technical management of program elements.
  • Planning and conducting of technical reviews and technical baseline.
  • Writing status and technical performance reviews and reports.
  • Mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and advise junior staff.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience developing planning, training, and technical briefings for wide ranging audiences including technician, engineer, sub-contractor, client, executive leadership
  • Experience applying and teaching systems engineering processes and principles
  • Experience/recognized job expert of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
  • Experience/recognized job expert with complex systems development and integration Experience/recognized job expert in modeling or simulation of complex systems
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering or technology field
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience installing hardware to include but not limited to routers, switches, storage, workstations, fiber and MPO cabling.
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain a TS-SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering or technology field
  • An advanced degree in Engineering, Science, or Business
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and corresponding modeling tools.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Experience in custom hardware system design
  • Top secret clearance

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 per year.
