Assembler - 2nd Shift - Hiring Now

Leading metal manufacturing company in Canton, GA has an immediate opening for an Assembler. This temp to hire opportunity!!

Shift of the Assembler:
3:30PM - 1:30AM Monday - Thursday (Mandatory OT till 3:30AM is likely)

Responsibilities of the Assembler:

• Work from blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, written and verbal instructions.
• Operate and change-over machinery and equipment such as shears, riveting equipment, automated housing assembly equipment, piercing machines and handling equipment.
• Assemble housings including inserting shafts, wheels into housings and inserting and fastening cutoff, etc. per customer specifications.
• Insert rivet nuts into housing sides as required.
• Pack housing assemblies onto pallets.
• Add or update MP 245 tags on containers.
• Check parts and materials for visual defects and conformance to specifications; perform minor equipment adjustments; and notify Supervision of out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Complete minor daily equipment maintenance per posted instructions.
• Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities.
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications of the Assembler:

• A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• The ability to stand for long periods of time
• The ability to perform continuous repetitive motions
• The ability to operate factory machinery
• A reliable means of transport
