Dematic is in search of a Regional Vice President to head the commercial business unit in our west region. This role is a strategic-level position reporting to the SVP Sales, Americas. This is a key role, driving and securing Dematic's sales strategy in the region for various levels of complex and highly integrated projects. This individual will have the opportunity to co-lead expanding sales initiatives through highly collaborative efforts with our execution leaders in the region to focus on growing the business unit to the highest potential.

This position will be required to work with a matrix cross-functional regional team to deliver on company business objectives. The pay range for this role is estimated to be $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 at the time of posting and will be eligible for incentive compensation in accordance with company practices. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the front-end delivery of the business targets for the Western Business Unit
  • Act as the business leader to own, communicate and drive strategy with various regional Dematic functions to deliver the yearly objectives
  • Define and execute the strategic initiatives in alignment with organizational goals
  • Partner to operationalize the systemic methods of identification, prioritization and closure of key opportunities and accounts
  • Lead the sales approach to target specific markets with a defined "Dematic Solution Strategy" to help create automation capabilities for the customers and help them solve their business needs
  • Collaborate with the regional BD and Sales organizations and drive the creation of focused pipeline that will help deliver the order intake goal for each fiscal year
  • Lead the team that will support guiding and educating customers and sales account managers in the required operational metrics and solution sets to build trusted advisor level relationships
  • Collaborate with other Dematic concepting and R&D functions to evaluate needs and guide prospects toward standard solutions where appropriate
  • Lead and assist account managers with complex sales proposals and negotiations
  • Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and strategies
  • Participate with other regional sales teams to help win high visibility targeted opportunities
  • Demonstrates the ability to build credibility and confidence with a wide variety of leaders including internal stakeholders, customers and vendors and be seen as a trusted advisor
  • Demonstrates experience in driving initiatives, while holding teams accountable for results and ensuring continuous improvement

  • Act as an executive regional sales staff member to drive initiatives as assigned by the SVP of Sales

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Masters strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of logistics and automation experience, with 5+ years of direct applicable experience at an executive level
  • Prior experience in the front end of the business is preferred
  • Must be extremely knowledgeable with the interworking of a Distribution Center
  • Experience in the analysis of performance metrics; short- and long-term technology development planning, evaluation, testing, and selection
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels both internal and external and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
  • Proven success affecting change in a matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
