Job Description
Atrium Health Floyd Family Medicine Residency is looking for an experienced family physician who wants to join a residency. We have a long track record of training family physicians who go on to practice in different settings such as outpatient medicine, hospitalist, emergency medicine, urgent care, geriatrics and more. We are an unopposed, 9-8-8 program and use innovative modalities, such as POCUS and osteopathic manipulative techniques, in a small group learning environment. We strive for excellence in all we do while incorporating patient safety and quality. Our faculty practice in our outpatient family medicine clinic which serves all ages. The faculty also rotate on our inpatient service for two-week periods of time. Faculty assist in improving the program, giving lectures, and mentoring residents and medical students.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
Board Certified in Family Medicine
Minimum of three years of experience after residency preferred.
Inpatient experience within the last five years.
Desire and skill with educating learners
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Round on inpatient service and share call with other faculty
Maintain outpatient clinic panel, approximately two half days per week
Present educational lectures
Supervise residents in our patient clinic seeing adults, pediatrics, and obstetrics
Advise residents and medical students during their training
