Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree required. Additional professional licensure and/or certification in the field may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia, eligible to practice in the State of Georgia, or sitting for July 2024 Georgia Bar Exam.
Position Summary
This position will serve in a support role up to and including co-counsel to the Director and Staff Attorney of the CEASE program.

The Fellow position is a one year appointment.

Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and seek guidance when appropriate.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
Serve as co-counsel with the director and/or staff attorney in litigation on behalf of the clinic, including, but not limited to communicating with courts and opposing counsel; drafting and filing pleadings; appearing at hearings on behalf of clients; legal research and writing on behalf of clients; providing guidance and feedback on student work; supervising students in hearings if deemed appropriate and assigned by the director or staff attorney; performing client intake; drafting and sending client advice, referral, and closing letters; and assisting with clinic attorney consultation services.
