For more than a century, Sidwell Friends School, a PK-12, co-educational Quaker day school with campuses in Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD has offered a coeducational program of academic excellence. Its students and alumni represent many cultural, racial, religious, and economic backgrounds. The vigorous curriculum is supplemented by numerous extra-curricular offerings in the arts and athletics. For the 2010-2011 school year, 1,109 students (564 boys and 545 girls) are enrolled. Forty-one percent of the student body are students of color. The School employs 144 teachers and 77 administrative and support staff.
