Job Description:

The BAS Technician is responsible for providing oversight, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and administrative services for all software aspects to the building automation systems. The BAS Tech shall work with SCADA systems for electrical, Metasys systems for HVAC / mechanical and Simplex systems for fire protection infrastructures. This position may collaborate with more advanced specialized technicians or subcontractors to perform facility related troubleshooting and repairs on systems serving the spaces being monitored by the BAS. The BAS Technician shall effectively communicate with the site management team and the customer to understand requirements, and solve complex monitoring and control problems. The BAS Technician must have the ability to identify and correct any performance related issues and perform independent IT equipment evaluations to identify potential IT equipment failures. General Maintenance and Administration of IT software and equipment will be required. The BAS Tech will utilize and update all job operations related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.


General Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 3+ years’ experience as an IT technician, combination of education and experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting IT systems and IP communications anomalies
