The Facility Management Specialist must satisfy the overall operational objectives of the execution of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast's (NAVFAC SE) broad and diverse mission of facilitating inter-governmental operational requirements. This position will provide facilities management support to NAVFAC SE Public Works Department (PWD). The Facilities Management Specialist must be experienced in the practices and procedures related to property management, maintenance, materials requirements, and building operation and repair, including mechanical, electrical, civil construction, maintenance, and repair.
The Facility Management Specialist will reside within the NAVFAC SE Public Works Department (PWD) and provides direct support in the below-mentioned areas of expertise/effort. The employee will work in the Engineering Section and all other sections including Facility Support Contracting, Acquisitions, Environmental, Requirements, Planning, etc., and with DPWO, PWO, and external command management. The employee shall provide technical assistance and management expertise in the following areas as well as represent the interests of PWD in its dealings with other construction professionals and with other private and public entities. Driving Requirement:
Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier.
Driving may be required when traveling and/or occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time may be up to 30%.
