We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our busy Finance department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for statutory accounts preparation, balance sheet reviews, internal and external audit, profit and loss analysis and ensuring that compliance returns are all submitted on time.

This position is available full time. You will be based at our site in Royston, with hybrid working available.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for ensuring compliance requirements are met for VAT, Corporation tax, Intrastat, Office for National Statistics surveys.
Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations allowing timely review.
Month end close working collaboratively with Finance and Controlling colleagues to ensure reporting deadlines are met and results understood.
Statutory accounts preparation, coordinating annual external and internal audit.
Supporting the wider business with analytical information and decision making on financial matters.
You will ensure corporate policies are adhered to and fit for purpose financial controls and processes are in place.
Develop and communicate best practice procedures of internal controls, improving processes and managing risk.
You will work closely with other departments such as Taxation, Accounts Payable, Credit Control, Treasury, Operations as well as Customer Service.
What will convince us
A qualified or part qualified actively studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
Experience in different areas of finance with a track record of driving process improvements ideally within a manufacturing industry - however, candidates from other industries will also be considered.
Knowledge about current financial reporting standards and accounting rules.
Experience in working with senior level stakeholders across different functions.
Strong communication skills and ability to present technical subjects to non - finance managers at all levels of the organisation.
SAP/ERP experience would be ideal.
Strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
