WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
We need a hands-on individual with the people skills to work with individuals across the organization. This role is an important technical accounting resource within Box and will report into our Senior Consolidation Manager. A successful candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly scaling, dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with International Accounting teams, Shared Services, Treasury, Tax, Finance, and ERP System teams to optimize our fast-paced month-end financial close processes
  • Review intercompany transactions and prepare reconciliation for monthly global intercompany settlements
  • Prepare elimination entries for monthly financial consolidation
  • Analyze foreign currency gain/loss and help to identify processes to mitigate currency exposures
  • Work closely with Treasury and International Controllers on world-wide cash positioning
  • Own Sox controls relate to financial close, Netsuite access, and Chart of Accounts (COA) updates
  • Perform technical research on foreign currency and hedging accounting
  • Assist ad hoc projects such as M&A, system automation as needed
  • Assist in providing Netsuite training sessions for Finance team

WHO YOU ARE

Required

  • BS Accounting degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience from multinational high-tech companies
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite or Oracle) with Excellent understanding of GAAP accounting principles and the integration and consolidation of multiple ERP systems
  • Hands-on experience with fast-paced month-end-close, cross functional processes and automation projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, analytical, organized, and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement

Preferred

  • CPA or CPA Candidate
  • Familiar with foreign currency transactions, related balance sheet exposures, and their financial impacts
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to summarize issues and present solutions to senior managers
