Job Description

The primary role of the Assistant Controller is to manage all accounting and finance-related functions including, general ledger, internal and external financial reporting, A/P, and special projects for the Price Optimization division. This person is responsible for assisting with the annual audit, budgeting and forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

  • Oversee the annual audit, including monitoring of progress, identifying and clearing potential issues and implementing areas of efficiencies

  • Improve accounting procedures, database management, internal controls of critical activities and establish streamlined processes

  • Manage team of high-performing associates in the accounting department

  • Audit all accounting transactions to ensure to ensure compliance and accuracy including review of journal entries and adherence to procedures during monthly/quarterly closings, and general ledger reconciliations

  • Prepare, maintain, and partner with analysis of financial statements with CFO and FP&A teams

  • Develop and maintain system controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy

  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship within division team, with other divisions of the company and with Enterprise accounting

Experiences/Background:

  • The successful candidate will have ten or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience as a senior-level accounting or finance leader

  • Bachelor's degree required, in business, accounting or a related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Certified Public Accounting license required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team building and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel data functions required

  • Excellent organization and project management skills with attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrently and to work under pressure of deadlines
