Working Foreman/Lead - Atlanta, GA

Hours - 11:00am-7:30pm

The Working Foreman/Lead will provide guidance to material handlers and shipping/receiving team members in a team-based manufacturing environment. The Working Foreman/Lead will analyze warehouse, shipping/receiving performance and facilitate strategies and techniques to improve and enhance individual and team performance. The incumbent will work closely with the Production planner/scheduler, Plant MRP, Production forepersons/leads, Production supervisor /manager to address performance deficiencies and create an environment conducive to continuous learning, development, and improvement. The Working Foreman/lead will assist with developing and implementing policies, procedures, and recommend improvements to safety, production methods, equipment, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule trucks for outbound shipments, including tracking late trucks or missed shipments with the trucking companies.
  • Work closely with plant MRP on date changes and shipping exceptions.
  • Pull customer orders for shipment.
  • Required to receive certification for Hazardous shipments per DOT regulations. IMO certification for ocean shipments and IOTA certification for air shipments.
  • Compliance to regulatory manuals IATA 49 CFR, IMGD CODE and emergency response guidebook for shipment compliance.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled and all shipments are secure.
  • Coordinate inbound empty tote shipments.
  • Input receiving data for all inbound materials.
  • Ensure FIFO processing compliance for all materials..
  • Ensure warehouse compliance to 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure all shipments are "shipped" in SAP and review and process tote receipts in SAP.
  • Maintain department general supplies inventory.
  • Monitor the incoming materials status screen and escalate exceptions and deliveries to the Production coordinator upon receiving.
  • Prepare and coordinate processing of export orders, customs paperwork and shipment.
  • Track inbound damaged shipments and escalate for ETQ processing.
  • Prepare daily Fed-x shipments. Tracking of air and ground shipments.
  • Communicate all back orders at end of business.
  • Direct cycle count process with material handlers and coordinate results with management.
  • Monitoring the Non-conforming stage area for final return disposition.
  • Support batch ticket corking process in SAP as contingency.
  • Operate stand-up fork truck in safe manner.
  • Experience leading others

Education & Experience:

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong Microsoft computer skills along with being familiar w/SAP
  • Stand-Up Forklift Certification
  • Supervisory experience

Preferred:

  • Some college preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • HazMat experience
  • 5S Knowledge
