Job Summary
The Assistant Director of CRI Marketing & Communications leads functional, creative, strategic, and comprehensive efforts related to the marketing and communications of Campus Recreation and Intramural (CRI) programs, services, and facilities.
Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, develop, and supervise student employees, including graduate assistant(s), graphic designers, A/V video assistants, and public relations assistants
Develop and direct the production of all graphic design and video materials for departmental promotion
Develop, implement, and administer all social media efforts
Develop, implement, and administer the online presence of the department
Lead the department in strategic marketing efforts and assure branding alignment with the University
Manage the marketing and communications budget and associated expenditures
Lead departmental program areas in the development and implementation of marketing plans
Coordinate departmental representation at university recruitment events
Provide assessment and analytics for guidance in strategic marketing efforts
Serve on University and departmental work teams and committees
Recommend, develop/enhance and implement goals, objectives, policies and procedures for sound processes related to departmental marketing and communications
Assist with department and/or facility special events
Maintain and utilize risk management best practices
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
Three (3) or more years of experience in marketing and promotion
Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience
Experience in graphic design or video production
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a university setting
Experience recruiting, hiring, developing, and supervising staff
Experience and active engagement in social media
Experience in video production and graphic design
Experience in website development and coding.
Experience writing press releases and in recruiting support
Proposed Salary
$50,500 - $60,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
