Job Description
As a Data Center Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of data center construction projects from start to finish. Your role will involve managing all aspects of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality control, and stakeholder communication. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery within specified timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining key objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to design, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Monitor and control project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
Stakeholder Management:
Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
Facilitate effective collaboration and information sharing across project teams and departments.
Anticipate and address any conflicts or issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure adherence to design and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
Project Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
Maintain project records, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and documentation for future reference.
Evaluate and analyze project performance against predefined metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in data center construction or similar complex construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Understanding of data center infrastructure, systems, and equipment, including power and cooling systems, network infrastructure, fire suppression, security systems, and telecommunications.
Familiarity with local, state, and national building codes and regulations specific to data centers. Knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI/TIA-942 and Uptime Institute Tier Standards is an advantage.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
