CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally.

A Brief Overview
Reporting to a Senior Vice President, the VP Director of Business Development is responsible for bringing qualified leads opportunities to the company, maintaining project data base, coordination of internal & external pursuit calls, maintaining positive relationships in the community, assisting the team with closing pursuits, and monitoring and coordinating of new pursuit and marketing plans.

What you will do

  • Identify prospective clients through research, phone calls, networking, industry trade shows and face-to-face meetings.
  • Market to prospective clients (print advertisements, flyers, email campaigns, etc.).
  • Presenting and selling our "team approach" method of providing consulting services to prospective clients.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship built on mutual trust and respect with prospective clients.
  • Gain a commitment from prospective clients to work exclusively with the company, coordinate MOU documents with Executive Vice President.
  • Coordinate submission of RFPs and maintain accurate records of clientele and business development activity in company database.
  • Recruit, develop and lead the conceptualization, creation and maintenance of key sales enablement resources required for market positioning and acquisition of customers.
  • Ensure all aspects of product delivery are complete so that customer enablement and product adoption is seamless and timely.
  • Build and deliver specific market messaging driving key pursuit opportunities.
  • Work with the client-facing teams (, support, client success, etc.) to ensure teams are enabled for effective services and feature delivery.
  • Analyze competitive offerings and potential partnership opportunities related to the services offered.
  • Facilitate, organize, and attend business development related company events.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred). Required
  • 10+ years proven experience in a Sales or Business Development role. Required and
  • minimum 5 years driving cross functional services, marketing, and sales go-to-market program initiatives. Required and
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex pursuits. Required and
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements. Required
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently; excellent time management.
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), In-Design publishing software and pursuit tracking software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
  • Requires a detail-oriented, self-starter, who takes initiative, able to prioritize, and multi-task in busy environment.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. Required


Compensation

Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience.
