The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) at Georgia State University is a dynamic and diverse workplace that supports GSU's research community and rapidly growing portfolio of sponsored projects. OSP is structured to provide targeted service to GSU's research community. There are two different teams, pre-award and post-award. This vacancy announcement is for the Cash Management Team lead supervisor, who will direct, plan, and coordinate the team's activities and provide professional expertise in cash management.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Serve as the Cash Management Team Lead, directing and managing the day-to-day cash management functions for all grants and contracts.

* Supervise the workload assignment and progress of the Cash Management staff and ensure quality customer service.

* Supervise the monthly Letter of Credit Draw process for federal sponsors, providing guidance and training and helping with process improvement for the Cash Management functions.

* Manage the accounts receivable, unapplied, and unidentified payment population and establish and maintain a tolerable percentage of balances.

* Develop and maintain applicable cash management procedures and guidelines to minimize institutional risk, ensure GSU complies with regulatory and standard cash management requirements, and advise the Director, Post Award, on issues.

* Participate in OSP staff bi-weekly training and ensure cash management staff are cross-trained to handle core responsibilities as needed.

* Manage Human Resources activities for direct reports regarding recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning for the cash management team.

* Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls that provides reasonable assurance that operations are practical and efficient and that letters of credit, cash payment, and accounts receivable information are reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

* As always, performs other duties as assigned

* Working knowledge of cash management and post-award requirements and regulations of different types of award mechanisms from various sponsors or funders

Qualifications:

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance and five years of university, non-profit, or government fiduciary experience; or a combination of education and related experience. One year of supervisory experience required.
