The Executive Vice President of Care Coordination is a dynamic and visionary nursing leader to provide strategic leadership and direction for Care Coordination services. This leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing practice, ensuring the highest standards for patients within Care Coordination, fostering a culture of excellence, and collaborating with other members of the executive team to achieve organizational goals. Leader is charged with assuring the effective, efficient utilization of health care services while developing and implementing patient care standards, processes, and protocols to coordinate safe and efficient transition of patients through the continuum of care. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to advancing healthcare excellence. The candidate will also have experience in scaling clinical operations for rapid growth.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
- Proven leadership experience in nursing administration or executive roles, preferably in a hospital or healthcare system.
- Strong clinical background with a comprehensive understanding of nursing practice standards, patient care processes, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including physicians, administrators, and external partners.
- Advanced degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Hold and maintain an unrestricted Nursing license in the state of VA (Compact State).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing or healthcare related field.
- Demonstrated track record of success in driving quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and clinical excellence.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, associate relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Demonstrated experience in program development; particularly new programs that involve multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage remotely a large staff of nurses who conduct patient visits virtually. Capable of deploying evidenced based solutions for virtual care enabled by best practice technology is preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards of practice, and accreditation requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Possesses a solid foundation of experience in the areas of quality improvement, and patient safety.
- Possess a working knowledge of hospital operations, case management, and post-acute care.
- Demonstrates respect with positive interpersonal skills with patients, clients, the public, managers, and associates maintaining confidentiality of patient care and business matters.
- Adheres to all hospital professional and performance expectations while complying with all established policies and procedures.
Effectively presents information, both formal and informally.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills with a working knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, multi-task and demonstrate flexibility within the healthcare environment.
