Job/Internship Description

General information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a SRD Intern for its Atlanta, Georgia location. This role is responsible for developing tools to improve the Simulation Ready Data process. The intern will analyze historical data and model outputs to improve model assumptions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct primary research for input data and assumptions for power and fuel models.
  • Develop reports an
  • d dashboards using Business Intelligence and Microsoft tools to support communication of model results and inputs.
  • Conduct research and compile relevant market data for EPM Advisory team.
  • Help improve and maintain existing, in-house data support tools with quality control measures.
  • Contribute to artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) and data modeling projects.
  • Support activities related to marketing campaigns Complete administrative tasks (e.g., timesheet recording) as required.
Your background:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US.
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Experienced Professional (P2) Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Works independently with general supervision.

  • Demonstrated strong skills in computer programming for data analysis, optimization, machine learning, model development (Python, Julia, R, MATLAB, STATA, or GAMS; Preferably Python and/or Julia)
  • Software development experience using tools such as Git, JIRA is a plus, but not required Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal skills Ability to operate with minimum supervision and take initiative.
