The Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves on the leadership team of the Business Unit along with other leaders of the BU. The FBP drives the Business Unit's performance and the execution of financial and strategic goals. The FBP establishes and manages relationships within the assigned business unit, gaining an in-depth understanding of the business unit's operations and its financial information needs. They will provide financial guidance and decision-making support. The FBP maintains strong alignment with the Finance Department and is the key point of contact within Finance for the asset CFO and other executive leaders.

Responsibilities include independently organizing and presenting high-value analysis & interpretation of data in support of the Business Unit's Finance and Strategic Planning functions.

  • The FBP proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and leads the execution of financial improvement opportunities.
  • The FBP will provide strong financial and strategic acumen in support of market growth.
  • Detailed analytical services and access to financial data and financial reports will be provided by the Financial Planning and Analysis Department staff and the FBP will act as a liaison between their respective business unit and the broader finance teams.
  • This position works collaboratively with the Head of - Financial Planning and Analysis to prioritize and allocate the use of financial analyst resources.
  • This advanced professional-level position works with the Global Finance team, Business Unit leaders, and leadership at all levels throughout the company.
  • Work situations require strong leadership, ability to direct complex data analysis, initiative, and independent judgment in decision-making, a professional work ethic, and effective interpersonal skills.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Validate key business assumptions and provide insight based on financial and business knowledge
  • Drive resource allocations during the annual budget cycle and actively promote dynamic re-allocations of resources throughout the year
  • Provide decision support based on a holistic view (UCB, BU, Asset, geography, etc.)
  • Actively work with the leadership team on Strategic plan, annual brand plan, and forecasts
  • Provide a forward-looking view on financial performance and proactively highlight risks and opportunities
  • Develop solutions to mitigate gaps in business performance while balancing risks for the whole company

  • What will not be the specific responsibilities of this role?
  • Analysis, reporting, updating the systems for budget, forecast, upside & downside, etc.
  • Month-ended close activities - accrual, checking for trends compared to the prior year, budget and forecast, allocation
  • Master data maintenance, DOA,
  • Recharge for tax, accounting, or any other purposes
  • Handle S2P-related queries, working capital-related analysis


Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in finance and/or financial analysis, preferable in healthcare

Systems experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
