As a Web Developer Summer Intern you will benefit from on the job training and mentoring along with participation in team projects, social events, and professional development. You will work within a group in IT that supports a functional area of our business; debit card transaction processing.
During the Summer Internship, the interaction and collaboration with IT professionals will become invaluable as you begin your career. By the end of the internship, you will have a clear understanding of the technology behind debit card processing and the role that the Web interface plays into how FIS clients use technology and information to create competitive advantage. Furthermore, you will make the connection between the creative implementation of technology within FIS, and how it has driven FIS to become a global leader. This connection is centered on people, processes, and technology all sitting on top of the FIS guiding principles. Building relationships with IT professionals and the experience of web development during the intern program will help launch your career as an IT professional.
FIS evaluates graduates and undergraduate level student's based on grade point average, leadership abilities, communication skills and relevant coursework. Internship Program requirements include:
* Enrollment in a full-time graduate or undergraduate program through an accredited university.
* Declared degree in one of the following areas: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or in a related field.
* The ability to work full time
* Ability to work in Norcross, GA.
* Must have permanent US work authorization
* Knowledge of Unix commands and shell scripting
* Understanding of PERL and using regular expressions is a plus
